4 out of 5 stars

The film is indeed Super Deluxe. Wow…a brilliant film and a rare gem. True, I have this big bias towards Thiyagaraja Kumaraja ever since I watched his cult classic first film. I went with some super expectation and the director just flipped the film and exceeded my expectation. The film is unique because it touches upon several genres but what amazed me is the philosophical touch. Can’t reveal anything about the parallel plots. All that I can say is every character is brilliant be it Vijay Sethupathi as a Transgender or Samantha/Fahad Faasil or Ramyakrishnan as an actress or the boys. There is a lot of humour, wackiness and hearth touching moments. Loved the cinematography and music. Especially there is an out of focus scene with ants which is super cool. The tone of the film and its various colours makes it an interesting watch. The length in the second half, some scenes involving Mysskin and a sudden twist in genre for one of the stories are the minor drawbacks. Some people may not be able to relate with the philosophical touch and some may not be able to understand it….well that is why it is philosophy. You may like it or you may not like it but you cannot miss it.
