2 out of 5 stars

Same wine in new bottle. Maari suddenly has a new friend (Krishna) and a new lover (Sai Pallavi). While your friendly neighbourhood Rowdyman is having fun, in comes a new villain (Tovino Thomas) who wants to kill Maari for a mokka reason. Friends turn foe and how Maari overcomes these challenges forms the plot. There are very interesting seasons. Sai Pallavi brings a lot of freshness to this stale masala and brings energy to very scene she is seen. Especially the Rowdy Baby song choreography with her dance is excellent. Apart from this song, the other songs are in no way a match to the first part. The film could have been easily 15min shorter if Dhanush has decided not to do slow motion walks. The film is not bad, however, it has nothing new to offer and if you were expecting a fun ride that will probably be your ride back home.
