This is a cliched romantic comedy and I am surprised to learn that this film is the highest grossing romantic comedy in the last decade. The film starts of well with an excellent scene set in 1985. Cut to present time, Rachel Chu is a New Yorker who travels with her boyfriend Nick to Singapore. Nick is Super rich and his mom disapproves Rachel. The rest of the story is similar to a dozen Indian movies we would have watched with a similar plot. The film also drags big time. Sadly the film is neither high on the romantic quotient nor is a comedy. It is a predictable film that became a super hit due to unpredictable viewers.
